Young Widows is a band that make highly energetic noise rock not unlike that of The Jesus Lizard (albeit with a bit more gusto if you can believe it) and newer Daughters. Their mixture of slow churning guitars and fast, sometimes mathematical passages makes for a varied and pulse-pounding listen. This is easily one of the catchiest records out there, its lyrics seem to walk a thin line between delightfully youthful and downright gallows humor. I've been meaning to upload this one for a while and yeah, I'm pretty late to the punch but this goes out to all the people who needs some good ol' fashioned noisy rock music in their lives.
