I know this has been in the works right now but with rumors of Universal Studios getting together to do a trilogy of NGE live action films I can't help but post about it. Supposedly Steven Spielberg has been offered the project and Weta Workshop (Avatar, Lord of The Rings, King Kong and Narnia) are interested in doing the effects. Pictured above is some Weta concept art for the film. This promises to be amazing as Neon Genesis Evangelion is the 2001: A Space Odyssey of the anime world. This story is so oddly entrancing and rich with detail that I can't help but love it. The mix of mecha, metaphysical, theological and philosophical explorations and beautiful animation make this such a wonderful franchise. Here's to hoping this baby hits production soon!
Shinseiki Evangelion already have a live action movie if the americans are making a movie of vangelion it would be an epic fail we just need to remember the worst american movie made from an anime Dragon Ball they sayd is a movie based on the anime with a history tooked from the japanese live action movie but it wasnt anything like that because the original live action movie was perfect actors with a resemblance to the manga and anime designs with the difference of the american version they didnt try to make the actors look like the anime version it was a really bad movie so if the americans are making a live action movie of evangelion they are gonna kill the series like they are killing all the anime with the bad translations
