Trap Them's latest offering to the altar of filth and slum-stench is a heavy and percussive creature that writhes and slithers like a many headed serpent hiding behind a curtain of ever-present fuzz. The constant pumping sound of the opener leads perfectly into the rest of the album with its skate-friendly rhythms and bong-ready riffage. There's a distinct balancing act between street punk sensibility, crust punk piss and vinegar and sludgy execution. If you enjoyed their sound on 'Filth Rations' you may be disappointed that the production on this is so clean and really that's its main shortcoming. Had this album had a murkier production and more atmosphere it would've been their best effort yet but the very fact that everything is so crystal clear takes so much away.
SHIT KICK
