Admiral Angry - A Fire To Burn Down The World

One song. One twenty-four trek into death. Written by a man coming to terms with his own impending demise; Admiral Angry's 'A Fire To Burn Down The World' is a postmortem anthem to the band's fallen comrade and guitarist: Dan. Listening to this album is like drinking the blackest tea steeped in cold blood. A devastatingly primal adventure through the needle-scared underbelly of american life. If you want sincere anger in music then this is the place. This is raw and unhindered animosity and disgust distilled into musical form.

DIE

And now, a word from the band. Albeit this news is old I feel it's vastly appropriate to post this here for those not familiar with Admiral Angry.

Alright,

Since I don't have nearly enough time to respond to the e-mails about "the future of admiral" and since I don't want to play favorites, you ALL get to find out at the same time. August 15th we pack our amps and guitars and head to Wet 'n Dry studios to finally record A Fire to Burn Down the World. Soon after, the album will be packaged and distributed by Shelsmusic.

For those of you who are unaware of the situation the band is in, Daniel Kraus (or to those who knew him, THE Admiral) passed away earlier this year leaving us with one last piece of material, which is A Fire. This is not Buster pt. 2, nor is it ten songs sloppily put together to be forgotten. It's a mammoth of an album. One 30 minute long song, meant to punish you for all the bad things you've done in your bedroom. A Fire is not meant for everyone, but is being released for the one person that had the determination to set this world ablaze before he left it.

As for the aftermath, we are still determining whether we will be playing specific shows that have been offered to us...the main obstacle being funding. We are all honored by the surprising response to Buster, by both the fans and the media.

Finally, as a reminder, ALL of the profits earned from "Buster" and "A Fire to Burn Down the World" will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis fund. As it was, and as it always will be, we hope you find our music most unpleasant.

Electro Quarterstaff - Gretzky

Electro Quarterstaff are kind of like throwing yourself into a Gorguts concert in the far future where their brand of frantic prog death is replaced with mathgasmic sludge/death hybrid insanity minus a vocalist. Honestly words are going to fail me in describing these dudes and I've already probably lead you astray. Just listen.

Admiral Angry - Buster

This is one of my all time favorite records and it's kind of a surprise that it has taken me this long to get it up here. Imagine a world where Meshuggah, Khanate and The Abominable Iron Sloth have a baby. We'll call this baby 'Buster'. If you want absolute desperation in your music, you've found it. Written by one of their dying band members as his life was literally slipping through his fingers. This album is an embodiment in hatred in all of its splendor and glory. All of that loathing and teeth-gnashing animosity shoved down your throat. The guitars are merciless, pretty much akin to being clubbed in the face repeatedly with a broken parking meter by some 20-foot tall scaly behemoth. The drums are rhythmically complex when they need to be and brain-splatteringly simple when they don't. If you're not going to play this at max volume then you're a fucking pussy and probably shouldn't download this.

Do me a favor.

Fucking kill yourself.
