The Abominable Iron Sloth - The ID Will Overcome

These dudes came into my life in 2007 when I discovered one of their music videos from their first album. I listened to it for quite some time until they disbanded. Recently they've gotten back together to release a new album of fucking brilliant sludge. 'The ID Will Overcome' was my smokin' music last night and I gotta say it slays. Even the 14 minute drone song is godly.

Latitudes - Agonist

Most of the Sludge scene is overflowing with some very boring acts. Luckily Latitudes breaks the mold with their brand of simultaneously crushing sludge and bone-chilling melodies. The addition of a keyboardist adds depth to their gargantuan sound. The album destroys from start to finish; the opening track alone will get stuck in your head for weeks on end. Take heed; the new kings of sludge have arrived.

Panopticon - Collapse

Very awesome Crust Punk influenced Black Metal from good ol' Kentucky. They combine a the sounds of Amebix, Wolves In The Throne Room, Leviathan and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. They also defy the predominantly Right Wing beliefs of the Black Metal culture by combining Communist/Anarchist viewpoints into their music. Haunting folk interludes disperse themselves within waves of Blackened Crust. Definitely a must own for fans of any of the aforementioned bands.

Old School Swedish Death Metal; plenty of catchy riffs drenched in cheese. This band definitely follows in the footsteps of fellow Razorback Labelmates and adds a lot of their own sound. This not only includes 'The Terror Threshold' but also an unreleased demo as well; enjoy!
